On behalf of the management, staff & students of LSS I take the honour and privilege to welcome the austere gathering to the mega event this pleasant evening. It is a great honour and blessing to have sri sri sri Chinna jeeyar Swamiji in our mist to inaugurate the silver jubilee celebration of our school
In late eighties and early nineties a thought flashed across the productive eyes of a few friends who met over a cup of tea. They were lost and time knew no bounds – personality, status, wealth, education and life changing truth forming the back drop.
“coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success” is a popular quote.
Thoughts merged, formed seeds – when spoken landed at Chikoti Garden, Begumpet, which sprouted as “Little Scholar School, in the year 1991. The journey of the school started with the intention of imparting quality and value based education at an affordable cost, and to stand committed to transparency, excellence & integrity in all its endeavors to reach its goal.
LSS was the initiative of My Home Education Society headed by Dr. Rameswar Rao.J, constituted by Prof. P. Purusotham Rao, with Prof. H. Venkateshwarulu, (advisory board), Associate Prof. Dept of Commerce, OU, now Prof & Director of CDE, K. Sagar Rao garu, Dr. M. Sachit Ananda Rao garu , K. Rama Rao garu, as members.
Knowledge finds the path, wisdom lights its way through, to fine tune leaders for the future.
Being the motto of the school, Mr. Janaki Ramaiah, as the first Principal and with five students on the first day, the graph went steep to cross the century mark in the first academic year. The success was cherished and celebrated as the first Annual day of the school with Shri D. Sripadha Rao, speaker member State Assembly as the Chief Guest, Prof. Navneeth Rao, Vice Chairman OU, as Guest of Honour.
The second Annual day of the school Isaac Sequeria, Prof. of English, director of student research centre, K. Vijaya Rama Rao, former CBI Director, Dr. G. Chinna Reddy then minister.
Leadership is the essential resource for creating and sustaining organization. Little Scholar School had the privilege of having dynamic leaders committed towards achieving academic excellence. Mrs. Rani Manohar took over the reigns from Mr. Janaki Ramaiah
served the school for two years when the school grew upto class VIII. (Mrs. Manohar left the country).
The commitment, discipline and the systematic approach of Mrs. Aruna Gupta, as Principal from the year 1994 onwards succeeded in obtaining the major tasks of affiliation of the school to CBSE Board in the year 1996. That was a hallmark in the history of the school and the first batch of 9 students appeared for class X Board exam that year. They procured cent percent pass result for the school and this trend is achieved till date.
In the academic session 2014-15 – a batch of 47 students appeared for the Board exam and the management & staff received appreciation letters from the HRD Minister Mrs. Smriti Irani congratulating the management and the staff members on their tremendous efforts.
Every year the school topper of AISSE Board Examination is awarded a pure gold medal in memory of Smt. Jupally Balamma, the beloved mother of our Chairman Dr. Rameswar Rao garu.
Mrs. Aruna Gupta was also instrumental in flagging of “The Youth Festival” in the year 1996 in memory of beloved mother of our Chairman with the aim of providing a platform to the students to showcase their latent talents, encourage and help the young children to develop team spirit, self esteem, confidence. Prepare them to accept and meet challenges. Inspire them to face healthy competitions, interschool literary/cultural activities like storytelling, floral Rangoli, recitation, Gita chanting, painting, solo singing, declamation, maths quiz, poster making, listen & pen, pot decoration, elocution, flower arrangement, group dance & group singing. Sport events were volley ball, skating, basket ball, table tennis, and badminton & chess and sports competitions are organized and conducted and prizes are awarded.
Release of the “spectrum” the school magazine, which is a comprehensive mirror of the events happening in the school is one of the memorable events of the youth festival.
The rolling shield for best participation in all the competitions, and the best in sports events is awarded to the winning schools.
The reigns of managing the school were passed on to Mrs. Kaushik as incharge Principal and later to Mrs. Dorothy Jonathan for a short period and then to Mrs. Helen Daniel was appointed during when the school reached its maximum strength and two-day Youth Festival was conducted.
A sportman, a coach, a cricketer, a councilor, this is none other than Mr. Anjaneya Sastri, whose encouragement & guidance in implementing innovative practices, for over a decade, under various capacities – Principal & Senior Principal. He was guided by his mentor & friend & philosopher Mr. A.P. Achutam, has served the institution as Administration officer & correspondent.
School successfully hosted CBSE South Zone cluster TT Tournament in the year 2003. In Lal Bhahadur indoor stadium in which around 60 schools participated and the winner of the tournament Master Shubham Sharma is now representing our country in that game. Students had an opportunity to interact with former Indian Cricket team captain Mr. Kapil Dev, who wanted to
interview Mr. Sastry who was the then coach for Mr. Venkatapathy Raju.
During early years of 2000, under the instructions of CBSE, Sampoorthy Sahodaya Cluster was formed of which Little Scholar School has been an active member, till date and the present Principal being the treasurer of the cluster, presently comprising of 31 schools, Hyderabad Sahodaya Schools Complex made it possible for the management to attend an address by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalamji.

Mr. Sastry was instrumental in inviting icons, in the field of sports to encourage the students to have sports as their career option.
Mrs. Dorothy Jonathan, one of the teachers from the inception of the school , with her dedicated, hard work served the school under various capacities as coordinator, Vice Principal and Principal. Yoga was included as part of curriculum at LSS to enhance the rich culture and support the health of the students.
“Maithri” was constituted by the alumni of the school way back in 2002. The members of the alumni are placed throughout the world occupying high position in various fields of science, technology, business, commerce & so on.
Grand Parents day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Annual Days, National Education Day, UN day Celebrations, regular field trips & educational trips.
Health camps are a regular features specially from 2010 onwards – Yashoda Hospital and Vasan Eye Care help us in this regard.
In 2006 our school students participated in Naturial Science Congress and presented a puppet show on environment using ecofriendly materials as bread crumps. This drew the attention of Former President who was the chief guest that day. He heard the presentation and blessed the children. With this encouragement – An annual Science Fair Navikarna, an interschool competition is hosted by our school to encourage innovative ideas among students.
Little Scholar school inevitably made this paradiagramatic shift in its role function. Under the able guidance of the management, My Home Educational Society headed by chairman Dr. Rameshwar Rao garu and Secretary & Correspondant Prof. P. Purushottam Rao garu. Little scholar school has taken the mantle of developing leaders in addition to the core responsibility of imparting education, inevitably instilling human values, protecting the rich culture of our country being as technology friendly as possible. To commemorate silver jubilee, under the banner of Jupally Balamma Memorial Youth Festival – many inter school sports & cultural competitions are planned this calendar year.
